Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)

Pupils are taught Spanish from Year 3 through to Year 6 and they also have the opportunity to make comparisons between other foreign languages, discovering some of the many similarities as well as differences.

Learning Spanish not only teaches the children a valuable skill in itself, but it also provides other benefits, giving them an enjoyable way to improve their listening ability; practising skills that can later be applied to the learning of any other language; and opening up their horizons and increasing their awareness of different cultures.
