Children at Cavendish Close Junior School are helped to make sense of their immediate environment and of the wider world. The aim of our school is to offer children opportunities to study a variety of places, a range of physical processes and the effects of people on the environment and the environment on the people.
Children are made aware of environmental issues such as recycling and energy saving, all necessary to protect the world’s natural resources for the future. This helps them realise how people rely on each other. It can inspire them to think about their own place in their world, their values and their rights and responsibilities to other people and the environment. As such it prepares children for adult life and future employment.
